Girl, 7, Killed, 6 Hurt in Texas Parking Lot Crash 8/5/12

LAKE WORTH, Texas (AP) - A 7-year-old girl has been killed and several others wounded after a driver plowed into them with his pickup truck in the parking lot of a North Texas shopping center.
Lake Worth Police Department spokesman Don Price says two adults and two children were hit in front of a Ross department store on Saturday. The driver then continued to a nearby Target, where two more children were hit. He says the pickup truck hit two cars before stopping.
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports the 7-year-old was airlifted to a hospital, where she died. The other children have non-life threatening injuries.
Price says the 82-year-old pickup truck driver is undergoing tests at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth. It remains unclear what caused the crash.
