Rain Moves West This Weekend. 07/06/12
Friday Morning Weather Forecast
Greg Morgan – Chief Meteorologist
Decreasing clouds and slightly warmer temperatures are expected for much of the Permian Basin today. Rain chances, while not completely out of the question, will be much lower over the Permian Basin today. It appears that most of the rainfall will occur in SE New Mexico and locations in Texas, generally west of the Pecos River. Winds will also be a little calmer than days past. South winds around 10-20mph are expected.
Sunny skies and mid 90’s are expected on Saturday. Rain chances will surge west of the area for a couple of days.
By Sunday, clouds and moisture will begin to stream back into the area. Temperatures will begin to trend downward by early next week. Rain chances will be on the increase as well. Look for highs only in the 80’s on Tuesday and Wednesday. Rain chances above 30% appear likely on those days as well.
